This time around I wanted to do a deep dive into UE4, it's shaders and the new hair system,
For that I created this Kaya Scodelario likeness study, and using the wonderful skin shader from https://www.artstation.com/jethani as a base I broke it down to understand how it works and add more functionality to it using RGB masks to be able to look dev the roughness and color of the make up on the fly inside UE4, apart of it I followed https://www.artstation.com/nick_rutlinh hair shader tutorial to create this hair shader for UE4 new hair system and also using what I learned added the ability to change the the melanin levels both on the tips and the root,
At the end I learned a lot about UE4 during this project that I hope to implement in all my future projects.
